AD-aware是一个很小的系统安全工具，它可以扫描你计算机中的网站所发送进来的广告跟踪文件和相关文件，并且能够安全地将它们删除掉。使你不会因为它们而泄露自己的隐私和数据。能够搜索并删除的广告服务程序包括：Web3000、Gator、Cydoor、Radiate/Aureate、 Flyswat、Conducent/TimeSink和CometCursor。该软件的扫描速度相当快，能够生成详细的报告，并且可在眨眼间把它们都删除掉。

Ad-aware SE Personal Edition (标准个人版本) 在功能上有了很大的提升。扩展的内存扫描现在可以扫描一个进程所装载的所有？椋恍掳姹静捎昧俗钚碌腃SI(代码次序鉴定)技术来识别已知目标的新变体；扩展的注册表扫描现在可以扫描多用户的注册表分支；扫瞄的速度也有显著的提高，等等。
注意：该软件会把3721上网助手列为跟踪文件，如果你是上网助手的使用者，在删除文件前，请先把扫瞄到的相关3721的文件放入忽略名单。

语言包使用方法：先安装原版主程序，之后复制“简体中文.awl”文件到程序安装目录下的“Lang”文件夹里。然后打开主程序，点击白色“Ad-Aware se”大字右边第二个的齿轮形按钮，进入后选择“Interface”，“Language File”选择“简体中文”，之后点击“Proceed”就可以了
经本人测试，该文件默认为隐藏只读属性。
