　　亚当·桑德勒在片中扮演以色列突击队员佐汉，身手矫健的他对于打打杀杀的生活感到厌倦，打算重新规划自己的职业生涯，于是选择去纽约做一名美发师。在伪造自己死亡后，佐汉开始了自己的美发师之梦，从一窍不通的新手做起，逐渐练习，最终成为顶尖的理发师，每天顾客盈门。同时在这个大都市中，佐汉也收获了梦寐以求的爱情，不过还有些关于过去身份的问题等待他去处理……
