【剧情简介】：
故事由南佛罗里达有一家名为"McNamara-Troy"的外科整形手术中心开始，这家手术中心的拥有者就是McNamara医生和Troy医生，他们两个是医学院同学，毕业后一起在迈阿密创办了这家整容手术诊所，不久，他们的事业蒸蒸日上，来做整容的人越来越多。除了整容室的工作之外，两位即将步入中年的医生同样有着烦扰的个人生活需要操心。

Nip/Tuck follows the lives of two Miami plastic surgeons, Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh) and Christian Troy (Julian McMahon). The show, while not strictly a soap opera, has some story arcs. In its debut season, Nip/Tuck was the highest-rated new series on American basic cable, and the highest rated basic cable series of all for the 18-49 and 25-54 age demographics. The fourth season of the series premiered on September 5, 2006 on FX Networks. The show has attracted criticism from groups such as the Parents Television Council and others for its sometimes graphic scenes depicting surgery or sexual acts.
Main Characters
* Dr. Christian Troy (Julian McMahon) - The charming, handsome and promiscuous plastic surgeon who co-owns McNamara/Troy, a successful South Beach plastic surgery practice. Last season, Christian had to face the pain of being attacked by 'The Carver' as well as the truth about his past and his upbringing. This season, he has encounters with two very different femmes fatales and takes his fluid sexuality on a steamy turn in the shower with Mario Lopez.
* Julia McNamara (Joely Richardson) - The estranged wife of Sean McNamara and mother of their children Matt, Annie and a new arrival. Having revealed that Matt is Christian's biological son, Julia nearly destroyed Sean, Matt and the practice of McNamara/Troy. Last season, she gains strength and independence and asked Sean for a divorce. She also entered into a partnership with Gina Russo. This season brings Julia back to her family as she and Sean learn to deal with their handicapped newborn, as well as Matt's ongoing sexual confusion and new interest in Kimber.
* Dr. Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh) - A highly skilled, highly confident plastic surgeon and a partner in McNamara/Troy, a Miami plastic surgery practice he operates with his best friend, Dr. Christian Troy. Last season, Sean attempted to reconcile his conscience and his career choice as his wife Julia asked for a divorce and his relationship with Christian became strained. This season, Sean and Julia confront the realities of dealing with their handicapped newborn while their teenage son Matt becomes involved with Kimber and her newfound spirituality.
* Michelle Landau (Sanaa Lathan) - A striking, confident woman who purchases McNamara/Troy, thus becoming Sean, Christian and Liz's boss. Although she is married to a man who is more than twice her age, Michelle is very much in love with her husband. Strong and savvy about running a medical practice, she is a tough supervisor who harbors a deep secret from her past with "James".
* Kimber Henry (Kelly Carlson) - A former model and girlfriend of Dr. Christian Troy, as well as his occassional patient. Kimber's transition from modeling to acting, and her quest for "stardom", landed her in the world of pornography and drugs. Last season, she continued her career as an adult-film director and kicked her drug habit but her relationship with Christian remained a relentless power struggle. This season, Kimber finds God and becomes entangled with Sean's son Matt.
* Matt McNamara (John Hensley) - The 19 year-old son of Sean and Julia. Withdrawn and moody, he often is the only adult voice in a home surrounded by chaos. Last season, Matt learned that Ava Moore, the life coach who broke his heart, was actually a transgendered woman leading Matt on an exploration of his own sexual identity. This season, Matt's sexual exploration continue and he becomes entangled with the newly spiritual, ex-model, porn director Kimber Henry.
* Liz Cruz (Roma Maffia) - The smart, no-nonsense anesthesiologist. An outstanding physician who cares deeply about patient care, Liz is a confident Lesbian and is often the only voice of reason at McNamra/Troy. She had been artificially inseminated with Christian's sperm, but terminated the pregnancy when she learned of a birth defect. Last season, she surprised Sean and Christian when she began a partnership with Julia and Gina. This season, Liz sees the partnership change as Julia turns her attention to her family and HIV-positive Gina battles her self-destructive streak.

该剧最吸引观众的一点，就是它血淋淋的真实镜头和惊人的尺度。在整容越来越普及的今天，整过容的人对此依然讳莫如深，明星更是极力否认自己跟整容有半点关系，这使得整容室的内幕变得更加扑朔迷离、引人入胜。《整容室》第一次把整容医生操刀的全过程血淋淋地摊在观众面前：第一集就讲到了病人因抽脂和注射肉毒杆菌手术失败，苦不堪言的情形；而另一集讲隆胸手术，有病人血淋淋的胸部赤裸展示， “色情”也因尺度大胆而成为该剧的一大卖点。
看点2 紧张悬疑犹如警匪片
从剧情上来讲，《整容室》和《ER》一样，都是围绕着手术室而展开，不同的是，《ER》更多是从正面描述医生救死扶伤的天职，而本剧的内容更为另类，所以发生在手术室里面的内容不占主体，大多是从形形色色的整容者身上展开的一个个离奇故事。
这类剧情在《整容室》中触手可及，紧张刺激、跌宕起伏犹如一警匪片。”而这些病案最后几乎没有可以被预期到的结局，每分钟都不断有新的分支加进来，彼此关联不断，令每一集看起来都像是单独的一部悬疑片，“欲罢不能”、“意犹未尽”是许多观众初看该剧之后不得不一口气追下去的最大感受。
看点3 感官刺激之余发人深省
这部剧集的诱人之处不在于血腥暴力，整容室只是一个小小的窗口，但透过它看到的却是这个外表明艳、内里千奇百怪的社会，其深刻程度在美国的肥皂剧中是少见的。
自信满满的模特儿被说服上手术台后发现情人依旧拂袖离去；厌倦长相一样的双胞胎在动完手术后开始比较谁比谁更美丽；要求抽脂却被拒绝的女孩决定以自杀来否定自己；为得到女友青睐而割包皮的男孩还是免不了心碎；一个有恋童癖的毒枭为了逃避惩罚而易容……我们毕生追求的美丽，原来捅穿了只有皮肤般浅。
